Narrowboat Shell Specification.

This is the minimum specification you can expect from our narrowboat shells. For any other particular requirements please get in touch.

- Forward and aft self draining decks.
- 3 inches (90mm) camber to roof.
- Aft Tee studs and bollards.
- Forward and aft eyes for attaching bow and stern fenders.
- Integral gas locker (self-draining).
- Integral fuel tank with filler, vent, supply and return fittings. Pressure test and label accordingly.
- Fender eyes for side fenders (no cost optional extra).
- Keel cooling tank with bleed facility.
- Weed hatch with quick release lid.
- Window apertures cut to size.
- Integral handrail full length of cabins with drains.
- Cabin top, amidships, mooring ring.
- Anchor point.
- Rubbing strakes welded top and bottom.
- Rudder and ramshead (self-centering) quick release.
- Bow and stern deck cants.
- Fancy hinges to gas locker lid.
- Engine beds.
- Hull plates welded both sides.
- Aft steel doors and Sliding Hatch.
- Heavy duty skeg.
- 12 foot (3.7m) swim as standard.
- Recess diesel filler.
- 25×25×3mm box section and 30×30×3mm angle full length of cabin sides.
- Roof bows spaced at 18 inches (457mm).
- Roof strengthened on seams and round hatches.
- Cambered front, well decks and rear decks.
- Quality 43A shipbuilding plate of 10/6/4mm used as standard.
- Shells built to comply with the following standards:
CE Mark, Boat Safety Scheme, EU Recreational Craft Directive.
